bandahorseshow2015The 58th annual Dagoretti Horse Show supported by The Banda School Kenya, will be held from 19th to 22nd February 2015 at Jamhuri Park, Nairobi. The event attracts many of the most competitive jump and dressage horses and riders from across Kenya as well as from neighbouring Tanzania and Uganda.

The four-day show features more than 70 show jumping, showing and dressage classes in three arenas. A panel of internationally renowned, overseas judges will be in attendance. Riders as young as four years old and up to 60+ years old are due to compete this year. Programme highlights include jumping up to 1.30m, top dressage and fun classes such as Team Gamblers (show jumping) and Prix Caprilli (dressage).

The Dagoretti Horse Show also incorporates one of the major inter-school competitions, organised by The Banda School, to which many of the international British Curriculum Schools both in Nairobi and up-country will send their best riders.

The Banda inter-school competitions will run on the afternoon of Saturday 21st February and will include handy pony games, show jumping and a themed fancy dress show. Top prizes including vouchers from Tack Rack are being generously provided by The Banda School.

Dagoretti Horse Show is not only about horses. Visitors will also be able to enjoy browsing at our mini shopping village featuring high quality crafts and letting their kids have fun at our children’s games area. Food and beverages will be provided throughout the show by the ever-popular catering of Café Tasse.

The Horse Association of Kenya manages the Dagoretti Horse Show. The show first ran in 1957 in support of Dagoretti Prisoners. Today it continues to support charitable causes. Proceeds from this year’s raffle draw will go to the KSPCA and Riding for the Disabled (RDA) in Kenya.
