Our plight when Chase Bank went into receivership resulted into donations of kind from the public, a clear sign of goodwill from the public towards KSPCA and as we had anticipated that the donation drive would start like a Tsunami and dry up later has come to pass and now we are now staring at a crisis once more as the donations are running out.
Our store is quickly running out of food and we still have to pay our creditors. And of course we’ve also got to pay salaries at the end of the month for the staff.
We are now appealing to well wishers to donate funds to keep the centre running and also adopt the animals.
KSPCA, is a non-governmental organization that has been in operation since 1925. It rescues abandoned animals and provides them with food and shelter before they are adopted.
Because of the nature of our work and lack of funds we have not been able to establish a good education programme. School groups come to our headquarters but we lack a proper facility to give them the education that is needed. We firmly believe that education of the young is the way forward as far as raising the standards of animal care is concerned in the future. In the last twenty years we have seen an encouraging change in attitudes to animals, though there is still a long way to go.
Please don’t ignore the rescue animals. Every donation counts, no matter how much. Click here to donate online: SimbaPay for UK and Paypal for US (we accept checks and money orders too).
