At about 1 year and 1 month old, Pendo, a Swahili word which means “love” in English, is a vibrant and lively female dog with a heart full of love to give. Her tri-colored fur adds an extra touch of uniqueness to her already adorable appearance.

She spent over 22 weeks at the shelter, patiently waiting for the right family to come along. Pendo and her five puppies were brought in from Kuwinda Road, Nairobi, Kenya, after being rescued as strays. Despite her tough start in life, Pendo’s spirit remains unbroken, and her capacity to love is unwavering.
